Preseason football practice is held at the Higher Ground Conference Center in rural West Harrison, Ind., which allows the Bearcats players and coaches to better focus on their preparations and facilitates bonding.

The Bearcats practice on a pair of FieldTurf fields at the facility. They also set up temporary weight and equipment rooms in different buildings of the Center.

The team generally spends two weeks at Higher Ground, which is located less than 30 miles from campus.
