Welcome to the University of Cincinnati Athletics Compliance Office! As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Big 12 Conference, the University of Cincinnati is dedicated to complying with and upholding the rules/regulations set forth by these governing organizations.
The role of the Compliance Office is to ensure our student-athletes, coaches, and administrators are aware of and abide by these governing rules through a comprehensive compliance program while feeling supported by our staff. At the cornerstone of the Compliance Office’s efforts is a strong commitment to proactive rules education that targets all individuals involved in our athletic department. These educational goals are bolstered through the implementation and administration of extensive documentation and monitoring programs. The Compliance Office strives for integration with all the campus units that deal directly with our student-athletes. To ensure this, the Compliance Office remains in communication and collaboration with other University offices such as financial aid, housing, and academic support.
The end result of the Compliance Office is the avoidance of rules violations, maintaining the integrity of intercollegiate competition, and upholding the positive image of the University of Cincinnati’s athletic programs. Through a commitment to honesty and sportsmanship, the Compliance Office and the UC Department of Athletics seek to maintain intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the education program at the University of Cincinnati and keep our student-athletes integrated into the student-body.
