CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Leonard Stokes, who averaged 27.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in leading Cincinnati to a pair of victories, was named Conference USA co-player of the week.

Stokes shares the honor with Dwyane Wade, who averaged who averaged 23.2 points last week for Marquette.

Stokes shot .611 from the field and also averaged 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. The 6-6 senior from Buffalo, N.Y. scored 30 points in Saturday's 77-54 win over Tulane. He keyed a 9-0 scoring run with in the first half with seven points which put UC ahead for good. When Tulane cut the margin to four points in the second half, Stokes reeled off seven points in 40 seconds to turn the tide on the Green Wave.
