CINCINNATI, Ohio -- University of Cincinnati sophomore Jason Maxeill has been named Conference USA co-Player of the Week, sharing the league honors with Louisville's Francisco Garcia.

Maxiell averaged 22.5 points and shot .621 from the field in two games last week. He keyed Cincinnati's 61-50 upset of No. 11 Oklahoma State with a career-high 24-points on 10-of-15 shooting. The 6-7 forward from Carrollton, Texas, also had three rebounds and two blocked shots in that game.

Maxiell had 21 points and 10 rebounds in last Wednesday's 77-71 loss to No. 5 Louisville. In that game, Garcia scored a career-high 24 points for the Cardinals.

Maxiell is the second Cincinnati player to earn C-USA honors this season. Senior Leonard Stokes won the honor in mid-January.
