MURRAY, Ky.---Led by a seventh place finish by sophomore Allison Couch (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville), the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team finished in a tie for sixth at the Lady Racer Classic, hosted by Murray State University at the Miller Golf Course in Murray, Ky.
Couch carded a final round 82 to finish with a two-day total of 165, just one stroke behind Murray State?s Kelly Wren. Lee-Ann Pace of Murray State took medallist honors with a two-day 147.
In the team competition, the Bearcats finished tied for sixth with Western Kentucky, shooting a 36-hole total of 695. Murray State won the team battle with a 647.
After finishing day one tied for 20th, senior Mandy Puckett (Farmland, Ind./Monroe Central) fired a second round total of 84 to finish tied for 21st.
The Bearcats return to competition on March 24-25 at the Lady Bulldog Intercollegiate in Calera, Ala.
