HATTIESBURG, Miss.?Heavy overnight in the Hattiesburg-area has forced the cancellation of the final round of the Lady Eagle Classic, handing the Cincinnati Bearcats a finish of 10th in the final team standings.
Senior Mandy Puckett (Farmland, Ind./Monroe Central) finished as the highest placing Bearcat, tied for 28th, with a score of 81. Sophomore Allison Couch (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) finished just one stroke behind Puckett, carding an 82 to finish tied for 32nd.
In the team standings, Cincinnati trailed ninth place Nicholls State by just a single stroke, with the Bearcats posting a 338 score. The host Golden Eagles took the top spot in the team standings, after finishing with a 295.
The Bearcats return to competition on Sunday and Monday, April 13-14 taking part in the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan.
