BOWLING GREEN, Ohio---Sophomore John Clodfelder fired a career-best round of 71 en route a 12th place finish, leading the University of Cincinnati men?s golf team at the John Piper Intercollegiate, hosted by Bowling Green State University.
Clodfelder (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) was matched by senior Chris Larbes (West Chester, Ohio/Moeller) in the rankings, firing a round of 72 as both golfers ended at 221 for the tournament. Freshman Justin Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) backed up his second round 73 with an identical score in the final round to end tied for 29th.
In the team standings, the Bearcats finished seventh as a team with a final score of 910, seven strokes behind Marquette. Oakland took the team title at 870, just ahead of the host Falcons (884).
