LOUISVILLE, Ky.?Junior Alysa Few fired a final round 79 to lead the Cincinnati women?s golf team on day two of the Cardinal Cup, hosted by Louisville. The Bearcats finished ninth in the team standings, after carding a round of 339 on Sunday.
Junior Allison Couch (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) was the Bearcats? highest finisher of the tournament finishing tied for 24th with a 246, following a final round 81. Few (London, Ontario/East Tennessee State) finished just two strokes behind Couch, tied for 29th. East Carolina won the team competition with a score of 926, 17 strokes better than the host Cardinals.
The Bearcats return to action next weekend travelling to the Notre Dame Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. UC?s Couch is the defending champion of the event, having captured her first-ever collegiate crown there last year.
