Cincinnati junior Eric Bair was named Conference USA Athlete of the Week.
Bair (Canton, OH/Canton South) led the Bearcats by winning the Queen City Invitational in 26:07. He improved from a fourth place finish in 2002, and knocked nearly a full minute off of his previous time. Bair crossed the finish line just 18 hundredths of a second before three other UC teammates, leading Cincinnati to a sweep of the top five places and the team victory.
Bair has consistently been the number two runner on the team this year, finishing the Flyer 5K on August 30 just behind Taylor Garvin in 16:05, and finishing on Garvin?s heels again in the Mel Brodt Invitational in a time of 25:29.
