WEST CHICAGO, Ill.---Senior Chris Larbes rebounded from an opening round 80 to post rounds of 77 and 76 en route to a 28th place finish at the Blue Demon Invitational, hosted by DePaul.
The Bearcats placed 13th in the team standings with a three-round total of 944, just one stroke behind 12th place Evansville. Larbes (West Chester, Ohio/Moeller) finished the event with a 54-hole total of 233. Sophomore John Clodfelder (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) finished just one stroke behind Larbes after identical rounds of 79, left him tied for 36th.
UC returns to competition on Oct. 13-14, taking part in the Xavier Provident Invitational at Kings Island.
