Julie DuPont was named Conference USA Co-Player of the Week on Monday.

Cincinnati, Ohio -- The University of Cincinnati has broken into the top 25 of the national volleyball rankings for the first time in program history. UC is ranked 25th in the latest USA Today/AVCA poll.

The Bearcats, 17-2, secured the national ranking after an upset of then-No. 17 Louisville on Friday night. UC had been receiving votes in the poll for the past four weeks.

In addition, junior outside hitter Julie DuPont (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) has been named the Conference USA Co-Player of the Week. DuPont led the Bearcats to a pair of victories last week, including the upset ofLouisville. For the week, she averaged 6.83 kills, 3.67 digs and 1.00 blocks per game, while hitting .341 and totaling 45.5 points in two matches. Against U of L, DuPont led all players with 23 kills, while adding 10 digs and hitting .327. The victory over the Cardinals marked the third season in a row that UC has topped a ranked team with Louisville being the highest-ranked squad the Bearcats have ever beaten.

This is the second time this season and fourth time in her career that DuPont has earned the honor. She is the only C-USA player to be honored more than once so far this season.

The Bearcats return to action with a pair of C-USA road matches this weekend. UC will face Charlotte on Friday (Oct. 17) at 8 p.m., before traveling to East Carolina for a 7 p.m. contest the following evening.
