Brown Named to National Team of the Week

Senior Tim Brown has been named to the Soccer America Magazine National Team of the Week on Wednesday for his game-winning goal in overtime against No. 5 Saint Louis. Cincinnati, ranked No.21 at the time, moved up to No. 19 following the win.
The Oct. 18 victory was the first time that Cincinnati had beaten Saint Louis in the program?s history. Brown (Wellington, New Zealand/Victoria University) headed a cross from Wiremu Patrick (Wellington, New Zealand/Wellington College) past the diving Billiken keeper in double overtime, to give UC a 4-3 triumph.
The honor is the second of its kind for the Bearcats this season as Josh Gardner was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week earlier this month. The Bearcats are back in action on Sunday as they head to Greenville, N.C. to take on East Carolina at 1 p.m.
