CINCINNATI, Ohio -- University of Cincinnati women's soccer player Rachel Lieberman was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV team Friday.

Lieberman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) is a senior chemistry major with a 3.72 cumulative GPA. She was kept out of the half the season due to injury, but returned to add much needed strength and leadership to the Cincinnati midfield. She posted an assist and a goal in UC?s 2-0 victory over East Carolina on Oct. 26. She was named a Jewish Sports Report All-American and received the American Chemical Society Award for the highest achievement in analytical chemistry in 2002.

District IV consists of all NCAA Division I universities in Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. To qualify for Academic All-District, the player must be a sophomore or above with at least a 3.2 GPA who made significant contributions to their team.
