PERRY PARK, Ky.---Allison Couch fired a final round 79 to end the Northern Kentucky Invitational in a tie for fifth place, earning a spot on the all-tournament team and leading the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team.
Couch (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville), who led after the opening 18 holes of the tournament, finished three shots back of tournament medalist Melissa Sneller of Grand Valley State, with a 36 hole score of 151. The top-five was the first of the year for Couch, after she carded an opening round 72. Junior teammate Alysa Few (London, Ontario/Oakridge Secondary) also finished in the top-20, finishing tied for 15 after a final round 75 gave her a total of 155.
In the team standings, UC finished a season-best tied for sixth, carding a final round total of 310, which was the lowest team total of the year. The Bearcats finished the tournament at 629, trailing winning DePauw by 17 shots.
The Bearcats return to action on April 5-6, when they travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. for the Lady Eagle Invitational.
