Allison Couch is one of two UC players tied for 32nd at the Conference USA Tournament.

FORT WORTH, Texas---Juniors Allison Couch and Alysa Few are leading the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team at the 2004 Conference USA Championship, as both players are tied for 32nd after 36 holes of golf.

Couch (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) recovered from an opening round 92 with an 82 on Tuesday to improve to 32nd with a score of 174. Few (London, Ontario/Oakridge Secondary) shot an 89 in round number two after opening with a score of 85. Freshman Sarah Bires (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville) had the squad?s second-lowest round of the day, carding an 85 to end the second day tied for 36th.

In the team standings, the Bearcats are in ninth place after a day two score of 349, giving UC a 36-hole score of 716. Tulane has a four-stroke lead over TCU with a score of 629.

The tournament concludes on Wednesday with the final 18 holes teeing off at 9 a.m. ET.
