CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Four matches against teams which appeared in the NCAA Tournament last year highlight the University of Cincinnati's 2004 women's soccer schedule.
The Bearcats open at the Boilermaker Challenge Cup (Aug. 27-29), facing New Mexico and host Purdue. UC faces a second-straight NCAA qualifier when it begins its home slate against Dayton (Sept. 5).
UC continues a three-match homestand against Kentucky (Sept. 10) and Evansville (Sept. 12) before entering the season?s toughest stretch.
The Bearcats play four-straight road matches against teams with a combined 52-25-6 record in 2003, starting with crosstown rival Xavier (Sept. 16) and followed by Florida (Sept. 19), which finished last year ranked eighth in the nation. UC then opens Conference USA play at UAB (Sept. 24) and USF (Sept. 26).
After taking on defending C-USA champion DePaul (Oct. 10) in Chicago, the Bearcats play four home matches in 10 days, opening with face-offs with rivals Miami (OH) (Oct. 15) and Louisville (Oct. 17). The home schedule closes against East Carolina (Oct. 22) and Charlotte (Oct. 24).
The 2004 Conference USA Tournament begins on Wednesday, Nov. 3 in St. Louis, Mo.
