CINCINNATI, Ohio ? University of Cincinnati senior Gino Guidugli has been selected as one of 22 preseason candidates for the Johnny Unitas Award, given annually to the nation's most outstanding senior quarterback.
Guidugli, who has already been named to the Davey O'Brien Award watch list, enters his fourth season as the Bearcats starting quarterback owning virtually all of the school's career passing and total offense records.
Two other Conference USA quarterbacks, Louisville's Stefan LeFors and Memphis' Danny Wimprine, also made the preseason list for the Unitas award.
