The 2004 C-USA champs will face 18 postseason teams in 2005.

CINCINNATI, Ohio ? Eighteen games against teams which appeared in postseason play last season highlight the University of Cincinnati's 2004-05 men's basketball schedule.

The Bearcats will have 15 games against teams which participated in the NCAA Tournament, five vs. schools that reached the Sweet 16, and three from last year's NIT.

Cincinnati will play 10 games against teams ranked in the top 50 of either the final Sagarin or RPI computer ratings and 18 against teams rated in the top 100.

UC's home schedule includes four games against teams which advanced to the Sweet 16 of last year's NCAA Tournament.

Cincinnati hosts Vanderbilt on Dec. 9 and Wake Forest on Jan. 22. The Bearcats will host Elite Eight finalist Xavier on Feb. 10 in the Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout and entertain UAB on Feb. 19.

The Bearcats will open the regular season on Nov. 19 vs. Valparaiso and host Northern Iowa on Nov. 24, both of which reached the NCAA Tournament last year.

For the third straight season, UC will play the Miami RedHawks at U.S. Bank Arena on Dec. 27.

Cincinnati will face Purdue in the John Wooden Tradition on Nov. 27 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Bearcats will also compete in the Las Vegas Holiday Classic. UC's home games vs. Northern Iowa and Northwestern State will be part of that tournament. The finals will be played on Dec. 30-31 in Las Vegas where UC will face Illinois, a team that beat the Bearcats in the second round of last year's NCAA tournament

Cincinnati will play Conference USA foes Charlotte, DePaul, Houston, Louisville, Marquette, Southern Miss, Tulane, UAB at home in Fifth Third Arena.

The Bearcats will play two preseason exhibition contests. UC will host Northern Kentucky on Nov. 8 and Southern Indiana on Nov. 13.

"We've established a tradition of playing challenging schedules, and this year's is no different," stated UC head coach Bob Huggins.

Season tickets for the 2004-05 season are available for $405, with the High Five package is set for $291, a 30 percent discount.
