Julie DuPont was named the Conference USA Co-Player of the Week.

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Julie DuPont, who helped lead Cincinnati to a 3-0 record in the first weekend of play, has been named Conference USA Co-Player of the Week.

DuPont (Muskego, Wis./Muskego), a senior outside hitter, shared the honor with Saint Louis? Aida Antanaviciute.

DuPont was named the MVP of the Vernon Manor Bearcat Invitational as she averaged 5.22 kills and 3.89 digs per game, while hitting .370 in the three matches. She had double-doubles in all three contests, as the Bearcats posted a perfect 9-0 games record.

In addition, DuPont added another honor to her already lengthy list as she became just the fifth player in school history to reach 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. She ended the weekend with 1,611 kills, the third most in school history and 1,004 digs. She joins a list that includes Dani Peterson, Sonja Jackson and former teammate Trish Ladusaw.

The Bearcats will be back in action tonight when they host local rival Miami (Ohio) at 7:30 p.m. in Fifth Third Arena at Shoemaker Center. UC then starts an eight-match road swing that begins with the Loyola Marymount Furama Hotel Invitational this weekend in Los Angeles, Calif.
