INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.---Junior John Clodfelder shot a final round 75 to finish 14th at the Butler Fall Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at the Eagle Creek Golf Course. Clodfelder's finish helped UC to a tie for sixth place in the team standings.
Clodfelder (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) concluded the tournament with a score of 220 after opening with rounds of 73 and 72 on Monday. Classmate Justin Wilson (Canfield, Ohio/Western Reserve) finished just one shot behind Clodfelder after carding a 74 to finish the tournament tied for 15th.
In the team standings, UC fell from second to sixth in the final 18 holes, shooting a 304 on Tuesday. The Bearcats finished with a team score of 889, tied with Indianapolis and just two strokes behind fifth place Youngstown State. Oakland won the team title with an 870.
The Bearcats return to action this weekend when they travel to the Eastern Kentucky Colonel Classic. Play gets underway on Friday (Sept. 24) and wraps up on Saturday at the Arlington Golf Course in Richmond, Ky.
