Freshman Hillery Wilson is in second place at the Huskie Classic.

HUNTLEY, Ill.---Freshman Hillery Wilson is just one shot off the lead helping the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team to second place in the team standings after day one of the Huskie Classic, hosted by Northern Illinois.

Wilson (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) shot a 79 on Sunday to help the Bearcats to a deficit of just one stroke in the team standings after 18 holes. UC?s remaining four golfers all carded rounds of 84 to tie for ninth overall.

Northern Illinois shot a day one 330 to hold the slim margin over the Bearcats. Nicole Puch of Loyola-Chicago leads the individual standings with a day one 78.

The final 18 holes from Whisper Creek Golf Course will get underway with a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start.
