Bearcats Finish 4th, 6th At C-USA
Bair, Limo earn all-conference honors

CHICAGO, Ill. -- Led by all-conference performances by seniors Eric Bair (Canton, Ohio/South) and Ruth Limo (Mosoriot, Kenya/Univ. of Toledo), the University of Cincinnati cross country teams both placed in the top six at the Conference USA championships hosted by Depaul. The men's team finished 4th, while the women finished in 6th place.
The men finished with 94 points, behind champion Houston, Charlotte and Louisville. Bair placed eighth in 25:13 to earn second-team all-C-USA honors. UC's 2003 team MVP, Andy Wietmarschen (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier), placed 16th in 25:36.
Limo placed 12th in the women's race to lead the Bearcats. Limo crossed the finish line in 22:09, while teammate Christy Doll (Northbend, Ohio/Taylor) placed 28th in 23:03.
Houson won the men's title, with Memphis' Nate Nemeth taking the individual crown. It was the first team championship for the Cougars in the ten-year history of the conference.
Marquette won the women's team title for the seventh time in the last ten years, while defending champion Mary Kinyanjui of TCU captured her second consecutive championship.
The Bearcats will have next weekend off before heading to the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Ypsilanti, Mich. on Nov. 13.
