Ruth Limo won the All-Ohio Cross Country Championship.

DELAWARE, Ohio---Senior Ruth Limo picked up the individual title to lead the University of Cincinnati cross country teams on Friday at the All-Ohio Championships.

Limo blistered the course in a time of 18:08.8, topping the second place finisher by over 18 seconds. Limo?s finish helped the Bearcats to an eighth place finish in a 39-team field. The individual win for Limo is her third of the season, following victories at the Flyer 5K and the Queen City Invitational.

On the men?s side, three Bearcats placed in the top-20 to lead Cincinnati to a second place finish. Senior Eric Bair was the highest finisher, coming home ninth in a time of 26:18.8. Sophomore Kevin Schwarz was right behind, stopping the clocks in 26:23.0 to finish 11th. Junior Brad Neumann also earned a top-20, finishing 18th in 26:34.5.

In the team standings, Ohio State placed four runners in the top-10 to run away with the team title. The Buckeyes accumulated 38 points, while UC was second with 102.

Both cross country squads will be back in action next Saturday (Oct. 16), when they compete in the Pre-Nationals Meet in Terre Haute, Ind. That event will serve as the final tune-up for the Bearcats prior to the Oct. 30 Conference USA Championships in Chicago, Ill.
