KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.---Senior Allison Couch matched her season-best with a round of 79 during day one of the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate to lead the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team.
Couch (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) is tied for 54th after 18 holes of the Bearcats? fall ending tournament. Classmate Alysa Few (London, Ontario/Oakridge Secondary) is just one shot behind Couch and is tied for 62nd in the run down.
As a team, the Bearcats are in 16th place of 18 teams with a day one score of 327. Campbell and Louisville are tied for the top spot with identical scores of 298.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday from the Kiawah Island Oak Point. The first nine holes of round two were played on Monday, with the balance of the second round proceeding round three on Tuesday.
