CINCINNATI, Ohio ? Following is a statement from University of Cincinnati head football coach Mark Dantonio regarding his team?s pre-game ceremony last Saturday at Louisville.
?It is very important that I express my regrets for the perception that our pre-game ceremony was an orchestrated act offensive to the University of Louisville and its football program. I have never or ever will condone behavior that casts any disparaging images on our or any of our opponents? programs. In the future, our pre-game ceremony will take place on the 30-yard line so there are no misconceptions as to our intent.?
The Bearcats will venture to Texas next month to play in the second annual PlainsCapital Fort Worth Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 23. Game time is 6:30 p.m. EST and UC?s opponent is expected to be announced in the next day or two.
