Guidugli, Cole Earn Grid MVP Honors

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Gino Guidugli and Trent Cole were recipients of the Claude Rost Award as the University of Cincinnati's offensive and defensive most valuable football players.
Guidugli, a senior quarterback from Ft. Thomas, Ky., completed 61 percent of his passes for 2,402 yards and 24 touchdowns in helping lead UC to a 6-5 record and the school's fourth bowl game appearance in the last five years. He broke every Cincinnati passing and total offense record and holds five season marks.
Cole, a senior defensive end from Wilberforce, Ohio, was ranked among the top three nationally in tackles for loss and led UC's defense in quarterback sacks. He finished second in career tackles for loss and fifth in sacks.

The Bearcats will play Marshall in the PlainsCapital Fort Worth Bowl on Dec. 23.
