The University of Cincinnati moved up to second place in the NCAA national rankings in field goal percentage defense in the stats release on Jan. 25.
The Bearcats, who have limited their opposition to .364 shooting from the field, have been ranked in the top five nationally all season, and last week were fourth.
UC is also No. 3 as a team in blocked shots. Jason Maxiell (3.2) is ranked No. 7 individually and Eric Hicks (2.5) is No. 26.
