UC Grabs Two More Titles On Day Three

HOUSTON, Texas -- The University of Cincinnati men's 200 medley relay team garnered the third relay title of the meet and Carlo Piccio won the 400 IM today at the C-USA Invitational at Houston's CRWC Natatorium. The men sit in fourth place, while the women are in sixth with seven events remaining.
The 200 medley relay team set a meet record, finishing in 1:30.53 to give the Bearcats their third relay title in four tries at the C-USA Invitational.
Piccio won the 400 IM for the third consecutive season, breaking his own meet record with a 3:54.93.
For the women, UC's Ann Degenstein finished second in the 100 butterfly by just four tenths of a second. ECU's Diane Parker captured the title in 54.58, edging Degenstein's 54.62. Both times topped Degenstein's meet record set last season.
The TCU men lead the Invitational, while Tulane and TCU share the top spot in the women's Championship.
Tomorrow's action gets underway with prelims at 10 a.m.
