CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Cincinnati women's basketball team is seeded 11th for the 2005 Pepsi Conference USA Tournament, which begins on Thursday, March 3 at Charlotte's Halton Arena.
The Bearcats finished the season tied for 10th in the league with a 4-10 record and were 9-18 overall. They will have to face six seed and host Charlotte in a first round match-up on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET. The winner will take on three seed Houston on Friday at 6 p.m. For ticket information, call (704) 687-4949.
UC has qualified for all 10 C-USA Tournaments and earned 15 tourney wins, second-best in league history. The Bearcats have appeared in four of the last six tournament championship games and won the 2002 edition.
UC faced Charlotte just two weeks ago at Halton Arena, falling 72-63.
