PENSACOLA, Fla.---A lightning storm brought an end to the first day of the Emerald Coast Collegiate Classic on Monday, the spring opener for the University of Cincinnati men's golf team.

The first 18 holes of the 54-hole tournament were completed with UC sitting 12th in the team standings after shooting an opening round 309.

Sophomore Joe Young is topping the individual rankings for the Bearcats, tied for 35th after a first round 75. Junior John Clodfelder is just two strokes back in a tie for 45th.

Play concludes at the tournament on Tuesday.
