CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla.---Allison Couch continued her stellar play as of late, firing a season-low 76 during day one of the Lady Herd/El Diablo Intercollegiate. The second round of the tournament, scheduled for Monday, was delayed by lightning before its completion and will wrap up on Tuesday.
After shooting two rounds of 77 at last weekend?s St. Croix Classic, Couch opened this week?s event, going one stroke lower. The senior finds herself in eighth place after 18 holes, just two strokes out of the top-five and six back of first.
In the team standings, UC sits third in a 17-team field with a first round 315. The Bearcats trail Marshall by just two strokes and are nine back of tournament leading Coastal Carolina.
Freshman Hillery Wilson is also in the top-20, tied for 19th after an opening round score of 79.
The conclusion of round two and the full third round will get underway with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
