Head coach Hylton Dayes improved his 2005 recruiting class with the addition of Scott McKinney |
CINCINNATI, Ohio ? The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team has announced the addition of forward/midfielder Scott McKinney.
"Scott is a very versatile player. He can play up front or in the midfield," UC head coach Hylton Dayes commented. "As a former camper, we were able to evaluate him first-hand. He is a good finisher and has excellent potential to play at the Division-I level."
A 5-10 attacker, McKinney is currently enrolled at IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He graduated from Akron's Copley High School in 2004 after earning Suburban League Senior All-Star honors.
McKinney joins newcomers Jibran Shteiwi, Omar Cummings, Landry Gray, and Dominic Oppong in UC's 2005 recruiting class.
The Bearcats open their spring season on April 3, as they play host to Northern Kentucky and the USL's Cincinnati Kings at Gettler Stadium.
