CINCINNATI, Ohio---Behind three players in the top-10, the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team finds itself atop the team standings after day one of the UC/UD Women?s Golf Invitational, played Monday at Clovernook Country Club.
Senior Allison Couch and freshman Allison Mayborg are leading the Bearcats, tied for third with identical rounds of 78. Freshman Hillery Wilson rounds out the UC players in the top-10, tied for seventh with a score of 81.
UC holds a one stroke lead in the team standings with a day one score of 323. Northern Kentucky is in second just one stroke back, with Oakland trailing by seven.
The UC/UD Golf Invitational will wrap up on Tuesday with the final 18 holes of play. The University of Dayton will serve as host for the finale, being held at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace in Centerville.
