CENTERVILLE, Ohio---Allison Couch and Hillery Wilson tied for second place, helping the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team to runner-up honors at the UC/UD Women?s Golf Invitational. The two-day tournament concluded Tuesday at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace.
Couch shot a second round 80 and Wilson a 77 to each finish at 158 for the tournament. Each of the Bearcat golfers finished three strokes behind medalist Bianca Hutton of Northern Kentucky.
UC also came up just short in the team standings, finishing three shots behind NKU with a total of 645. Butler finished a distant third at 662.
Allison Mayborg also earned a top-five finish for the Bearcats, tying for fifth with a 160 after a final round 82. Sarah Ryan also enjoyed a season-best round, carding an 81.
The Bearcats are now idle until the Conference USA Tournament which will be held April 18-20 in Memphis, Tenn.
