RALEIGH, N.C.---The University of Cincinnati rowing team earned five wins, including a pair by its varsity eight boat during the Carolina Invitational, held Saturday on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C.
The Bearcat first eight won its races in both the morning and afternoon sessions, posting a top time of 7:23.90. UC won by nearly three seconds in the first race, while posting a dominating 14 second triumph in the finale.
The morning session was especially good to the Bearcats as they won four of their five races. UC?s novice eight was victorious in a time of 7:47.35, nearly 28 seconds faster than second place North Carolina.
Cincinnati returns to the water next Sunday, traveling to future BIG EAST rival Notre Dame.
