Molony Named To C-USA All-Decade Squad

IRVING, Texas---Former Bearcat great Kara Molony has been named to Conference USA?s All-Decade TennisTeam, announced by the league office in conjunction with its 10th anniversary. Molony is among 10 C-USA standouts honored on a team that was voted on by the conference?s coaches.
During her playing career, which spanned from 1998-2001, Molony was a three-time All C-USA selection, including twice being named to the league?s first team. She was named C-USA Player of the Year in 2000 for a season that saw her win a school-record 37 singles matches, including 20 straight.
Molony ended her career as UC?s all-time record holder in singles wins (106) and combined wins (173) and is third in doubles wins (67). She is the owner of three of the top-10 season singles win totals in school annals and holds the record for most consecutive singles wins.
