GERMANTOWN, Tenn.---Freshman Hillery Wilson is leading the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team after one day of play at the 2005 Conference USA Tournament. Wilson, UC?s leader in average this season, carded an opening round 76 to lead the Bearcats.
Wilson finds herself in a tie for 13th after 18 holes of play, just one stroke out of 10th. Freshman Allison Mayborg and senior Allison Couch are both tied for 42nd, after each shot opening round 85?s.
In the team standings, UC is in ninth with an opening round score of 332. TCU holds a four-stroke lead over USF and Tulane in the chase for medalist honors.
Round two of three at the Germantown Country Club is scheduled for tomorrow with the final round set for Wednesday.
