Wilson, Bires Lead Bearcats On C-USA Day Two

GERMANTOWN, Tenn.---Freshman Hillery Wilson continues to lead the University of Cincinnati women?s golf team at her first Conference USA Tournament, being played this week at the Germantown Country Club.
After shooting an opening round 76, Wilson carded a 79 on Tuesday and is tied for 14th in the individual standings with a score of 155. Sophomore Sarah Bires had a season-best round, matching her low total of the year with a 78.
In the team standings, UC remains in ninth place after a second round score of 326. With 18 holes remaining, the Bearcats trail eighth place UAB by six strokes. If the Bearcats can hold on to or improve their current ranking, UC will score its best finish since coming home sixth in 2001.
The tournament concludes with the final 18 holes on Wednesday.
