GULFPORT, Miss.---Adam Fluty shot his second straight round of 73 to lead the University of Cincinnati men?s golf team in the final round of the 2005 Conference USA Tournament.
Fluty, UC?s leader in average for most of the season, finished the tournament tied for 33rd with a final score of 225. Geoff Newman turned in his best round of the tournament, shooting a 75 to climb into a tie for 48th with teammate Joe Young.
In the team standings, UC finished in 11th place after shooting a tournament-low round of 302 in the final round. TCU dominated the tournament, earning the team title by 26 strokes over second place Charlotte.
