Jason Maxiell capped his senior year at the University of Cincinnati with a rare double. The Bearcats' team MVP accomplished the feat of being selected in the first round of the NBA Draft and graduating from college.

Max actually completed his degree in psychology at the end of the Winter term. He was one of three Bearcat seniors to graduate--Jamaal Lucas and John Meeker also completed their degrees. The fourth senior, Nick Williams, is on schedule to graduate this coming year.

Over the past four years, 11 of the 18 departing seniors have graduated. Additionally, Mel Levett, a senior on the 1999 team, completed his degree as part of UC's academic recall program.
