CINCINNATI, Ohio --The University of Cincinnati and ISP Sports have reached an agreement with the State Farm Insurance Company to serve as the title sponsor for this week's Bearcat Invitational Volleyball Tournament. The State Farm Bearcat Invitational, presented by The Vernon Manor Hotel, is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Sept. 15-16 at UC's Fifth Third Arena.
"We are extremely appreciative that State Farm has agreed to be the title sponsor of our tournament," stated Bearcat head coach Reed Sunahara. "State Farm has given us the opportunity to have this tournament year in and year out and I think this is a great opportunity for them as well. It is very exciting to see a company like State Farm taking notice of the importance of women's athletics and investing in that."
The field for the tournament includes the Bearcats, who have won each of the past two editions of the event, along with George Washington, Jacksonville State and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Action gets underway with an evening session on Thursday starting at 5 p.m. and two sessions on Friday, one at 10 a.m. and one at 5 p.m. Tickets are available at the gate for $5 for adults and $3 for students. One ticket is needed for each of the three sessions.
UC is also pleased to welcome back the Vernon Manor Hotel for the third straight year as the tournament's presenting sponsor.
