TicketsCINCINNATI, Ohio--Former University of Cincinnati star and current Boston Red Sox infielder Kevin Youkilis has been added to the list of alumni expected to attend the Bearcats' second annual Alumni Home Run Derby. This year's edition of the event will be held in conjunction with Homecoming Weekend and will take place on Friday, Oct. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the UC Baseball Stadium.
The event will begin with warm-ups and batting practice just prior to the competition. A picnic dinner for all competitors and family will be held following the event.
UC is encouraging alumni and friends of all ages and skill levels to participate as different "home run fences" will be used for all of the different classes.
Former catcher and ex-Texas Rangers' famrhand Chris Hamblen won the popular inaugural event which was held last October.
