NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.---Hillery Wilson shot a second round 72 to move into a tie for first place at the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic on Saturday. Her place also helped Cincinnati climb to second in the team standings.
Through 36 holes, Wilson is tied with Florida International's Susan Nam and Angie Hill of the College of Charleston with identical scores of 146. Wilson's round of 72 was a season-best and is just one stroke off a career-low for the sophomore.
Freshman Chelsa Dooley is also enjoying the best tournament of her short career as she is tied for fourth through two days of play. Like Wilson, Dooley lowered her season-best with a round of 74 on Saturday.
In the team standings, UC moved into second place with a season-best round of 302. Middle Tennessee carded a total of 304 on Saturday, but retain a five-shot lead over the Bearcats.
Wilson and the Bearcats will go for the tournament championships when action at the Bay Tree Golf Plantation wraps up on Sunday. Play gets underway on Sunday at 8:22 a.m.
