NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.---Hillery Wilson and Chelsa Dooley each earned top-five finishes to help the University of Cincinnati women's golf team to a tie for second place at the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic, which concluded on Sunday.
After holding a share of the lead through 36 holes, Wilson carded a final round 75 to end the tournament tied for second, just three strokes off the lead. For the third time in as many days, Dooley lowered her career-best round as she fired a final round 73 to finish in fourth.
The final rundown saw the Bearcats shoot a season-low 301 in the last 18 holes to earn a share of runner-up honors. UC finished tied with Coastal Carolina at 908 in the team standings. Middle Tennessee State took top honors with a final total of 901.
UC will take a break from competitive action until Oct. 6 when both Bearcat squads combine to visit the Krump Kup, hosted by Northern Kentucky. The Bearcats will also compete in the Legends of Indiana Shootout that week, with that event scheduled for Oct. 10-11.
