WEST CHICAGO, Ill.---John Clodfelder and Adam Fluty each finished the day in the top-20 as the University of Cincinnati men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the John Dallio Memorial on Monday. The play of the two seniors helped UC to a tie for eighth place through 36 holes of competition.
Clodfelder opened the tournament by matching his career-best with a round of 71. A second round 76 left Clodfelder tied for 15th after one day. Fluty is tied for 18th after carding rounds of 75 and 73 on Monday.
The first round also produced a career-day for Kyle Pinger as the sophomore matched his career-low with a 73. Pinger is tied for 27th after finishing with a 149.
In the team standings, the Bearcats are deadlocked with Wright State with an even score of 600 after back-to-back rounds of 300. Both squads trail seventh place Evansville by three strokes and are just six strokes off the top-five. Saint Louis holds a nine-stroke lead after totalling 574 on Monday.
The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with 18 holes beginning at 7:20 a.m. CT from the Prairie Landing Golf Club.
