CINCINNATI, Ohio -- After improving to 4-0-1 in BIG EAST play with road wins at Marquette and No. 18 Notre Dame, the University of Cincinnati men's soccer team has earned national recognition, making appearances in four national polls.

The Bearcats (5-2-1) are ranked No. 15 in the country according to Soccer America. Soccer Times lists UC at No. 22, while College Soccer News tabbed the Bearcats as the nation's 23rd-best team. The NSCAA Coaches Poll, the nation's most widely recognized poll, ranks the Bearcats No. 21.

The BIG EAST is well represented in the national rankings, as seven different teams have received votes in at least one of the four polls. St. John's is currently the highest-ranked BIG EAST squad, earning a No. 6 ranking by both College Soccer News and Soccer America.

Cincinnati will play host to the annual rivalry match with Xavier on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Kickoff between the Bearcats and Musketeers is set for 7 p.m. in Gettler Stadium.
