ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Senior Jill Klauck led the University of Cincinnati tennis team in its participation in the Wolverine Invitational hosted by Michigan this weekend.
Competing in the most challenging Blue Flight, Klauck picked up a pair of wins, capping the weekend with a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0(7) win over Michigan State's Sarah Andrews. She added a pair of doubles wins with freshman Elizabeth Young, defeating Andrea Bukacek and Dominika Dabrowski of BIG EAST foe Marquette, 8-5, on Sunday. Klauck leads the Bearcats over the first two tournaments with a 5-3 record. She has led UC in wins the last three years.
Freshman Carling Arundel also earned two wins for UC, going out with a 6-1, 0-6, 1-0(7) win over Erica Wolfe of Bowling Green.
The Bearcats are next in action at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational on Oct. 8 and 9.
