Joining the Bearcats in the tournament field will be squads from Bowling Green, Bradley, Central Florida, Cleveland State, Loyola (Ill.), Ohio, Robert Morris, South Carolina State, Toledo and Youngstown State. In the last tournament the Bearcats hosted, the 2005 UC/UD Women's Invitational, the Bearcats came away with a second place finish in the team standings.
LAST TIME OUT: Sophomore Hillery Wilson shot a final round 74 to earn her third top-20 finish of the year as the Bearcats wrapped up play at the Legends of Indiana Shootout. Wilson finished the tournament with a score of 225, her second lowest three-round total of the year to end the tournament tied for 20th overall. Her final round score also matched her third lowest round of the fall. In the team standings, the Bearcats finished 15th in the 19-team field with a final score of 931. UC shot a combined 313 in the final round and ended up just four strokes back of 14th place Northern Illinois. Sophomore Allison Mayborg shot her third consecutive round of 77 to tie for 43rd, ending the tournament as UC's second highest finisher.
WHERE SHE LEFT OFF: Sophomore Hillery Wilson, a member of the Conference USA All-Freshman Team last season, has picked up where she left off this fall. After earning team medalist honors in five of nine tournaments as a freshman, Wilson has been even better this fall. Wilson won her first tournament of the year and second of her career at the Krump Kup on Oct. 6 and has finished in the top-20 of all four tournaments of the fall season. She leads the Bearcats with a 75.1 average, holds the squad's lowest round with a 72 and has a pair of top-two finishes to her credit.
