WINTER GARDEN, Fla.---The University of Cincinnati men's golf team shot its lowest round of the tournament, carding a final round 292 to move to 10th in the final rundown at the BIG EAST/MAC Challenge which concluded on Sunday at the Orange National Golf Course.

Four of the five Cincinnati players matched or lowered their best round of the tourney, including freshman Albert Fernandez who carded a career-low score of 71. The round moved Fernandez to 44th overall.

Leading the Bearcats was junior Joe Young who maintained his day one position, finishing tied for 27th after a final round 74. Senior Adam Fluty also enjoyed a fine performance on Sunday, shooting a 73.

Marquette dominated the final team standings, finishing at 12-under par with a total of 852. The host Golden Eagles won by 11 shots over BIG EAST rival South Florida. The Bearcats finished at 898, just four shots behind ninth-place DePaul.

The tournament concludes the fall season for the Bearcats. UC will be back on the links in March, competing in the Hargrove Davis Intercollegiate, hosted by Campbell.
