CINCINNATI, Ohio---The University of Cincinnati women's golf team has signed Iowa high school standout Katelyn Hiller to a National Letter of Intent. The Bearcats, under the direction of head coach Janet Carl, will welcome Hiller to the roster for the 2006-07 season.

Hiller, currently a senior at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, has enjoyed a lengthy list of awards and accomplishments in the first three years of her high school career. Twice Hiller has been named all-conference first team by the Des Moines Register and last spring she earned medalist honors at the conference and regional tournaments.

"We are looking forward to adding more youth to the program with the addition of Katelyn," said Carl. "I am expecting good things out of her for years to come."

Away from Valley High, Hiller won the Iowa Junior Match Play and Iowa US Cellular Championships in 2005, while finishing fourth at the Calloway PGA Junior Series Tournament. Hiller also was runner-up at the Iowa Tour Championships and is ranked as one of the top players in the state for the class of 2006 by Junior Golf Scoreboard.
